Military Leave - Salary While on Temporary Leave. Employees who have been employed by the City and County or any other public agency or have been on military duty for a period of not less than one year continuously prior to the date upon which temporary military leave not exceeding l80 calendar days begins shall, as required by the State of California Military and Veterans' Code (Section 395), receive their regular salary or compensation for a period not to exceed 30 calendar days of such military leave in any fiscal year or more than 30 calendar days during any period of continuous military leave.

  • Military Leave of Absence Upon application, a military leave of absence without pay will be granted to employees who are inducted through Selective Service or voluntary enlistment, or those called through membership in the National Guard or reserve component into the Armed Forces of the United States. Credited service for military service shall be determined by the retirement plan.
