MILITARY RESERVES OR NATIONAL GUARD LEAVE. OF ABSENCE: Regular full-time employees who serve In the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard may take the necessary time off without pay to fulfill this obligation, and will retain all of their legal rights for continued employment under existing laws. Employees are expected to notify their supervisor as soon as they are aware of the dates they will be on duty so that arrangements can be made for replacement during this absence.

MILITARY RESERVES OR NATIONAL GUARD LEAVE. Employees who serve in U. S. military organizations or state militia groups may take the necessary time off without pay to fulfill this obligation, and will retain all of their legal rights for continued employment under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and other applicable laws.
