Common use of MIXED FUNCTIONS Clause in Contracts

MIXED FUNCTIONS. An employee engaged for more than two hours during one day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than his or her ordinary classification shall be paid the higher rate for such day or shift. If for two hours or less during one day or shift he or she shall be paid the higher rate for the time so worked.

A higher paid employee shall, when necessary, temporarily relieve a lower paid employee without loss of pay.

MIXED FUNCTIONS. 14.1 An employee engaged for more than two ordinary hours during one day or shift on duties carrying a higher rate than his or her ordinary classification shall be paid the higher rate for such day or shift. If for two hours or less during one day or shift he or she shall be paid the higher rate for the time so worked. 14.2 An employee engaged on duties carrying a higher rate than his or her ordinary classification for more than nineteen ordinary hours in any one week shall be paid the higher rate for such week.
