Moving Expenses-Current Employees. Upon the written request of a Department Head, with the written approval of the County Executive Officer, the Board of Supervisors may authorize payment of all or part of the actual and necessary expenses hereafter incurred for moving the household and immediate family of an employee from one part of the County to another, when the headquarters of the employee is permanently changed for the convenience of the County. Such authority shall be obtained in advance of the change, shall be subject to such reasonable conditions as the Board may require, shall specify the maximum amount authorized and shall not be granted more than once in any one year period for any one employee, nor for any employee until they have been continuously employed by the County for at least one year preceding the authorization. If the employee voluntarily terminates his or her employment with the County within one year of the payment of the expenses set forth herein, the employee shall, within thirty (30) days of the effective date of the voluntary termination of employment with the County, reimburse the County the full amount of any payment received by the employee for the expenses set forth herein.
