NEGOTIATION OF GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE. 5.01 Members of Joint Union/Management Committees including but not limited to Grievance Committee, Labour/Management Committee, Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees, Joint Job Evaluation Committee, shall be granted leave of absence with pay for attendance at all meetings with Officials of the Employer necessary to the administration of this Agreement, including, but without limiting the generality of this section, any meetings or hearings with any Committee or Board necessary to or incidental to the administration of this Agreement.

  • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration. The number of employees on the Grievance Committee shall be determined locally.

  • Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union Stewards. The Xxxxxxx shall assist any Employee, which the Xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and presenting her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.

  • Resolution of Grievances In the event of a grievance related to a matter of discipline or any dispute as to the interpretation, application or observance of the provisions of this Agreement other than discipline, it shall be handled in the following manner:

  • Initiation of Grievance When a dispute arises, an attempt shall be made by the Faculty Member to settle the grievance with the appropriate management representative. Failing a satisfactory solution, the Faculty Association shall initiate an informal meeting between the Grievor, a Faculty Association representative and the relevant Xxxx or the administrative supervisor in the case of a Librarian or Counsellor within ten working days after the situation leading to the grievance has arisen or within ten working days from the time the Faculty Member should reasonably have known of the occurrence of the situation giving rise to the grievance.

  • Central Dispute Resolution Committee a) There shall be established a Central Dispute Resolution Committee (CDRC), which shall be composed of two (2) representatives from each of the central parties, and two (2) representatives of the Crown.

  • Function of Bargaining Committee All matters pertaining to performance of work, operational problems, rates of pay, hours of work, collective bargaining and other working conditions shall be referred by the Union's Bargaining Committee to the Employer for discussion and settlement.

  • Submission of Grievances A. Any employee or group of employees shall have the right to present a grievance. No employee or group of employees shall be hindered from or disciplined for exercising this right.
