Non-Discrimination Statutes. The award is subject to the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 [42 USC §§2000d et seq.], Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 [20 USC §§1681 et seq.], the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 [29 USC §794], the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 [42 USC §§6101 et seq], Equal Employment Opportunity [E.O. 11246], Limited English Proficiency (LEP) [E.O. 13166] and all regulations and policies issued by NSF pursuant to these statutes. Specifically, in accordance with these statutes, regulations and policies, no person on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under the award.

This Nondiscrimination Certification sets forth the nondiscrimination obligations with which all awardees must comply.5 These obligations also apply to subrecipients and contractors under the award. The awardee, therefore, shall obtain the NSF Nondiscrimination Certification from each organization that applies to be or serves as a subrecipient or contractor under the award (for other than the provision of commercially available supplies, materials, equipment or general support services) prior to entering into the arrangement.
