Non-Permanent Holiday Pay a) Payment for Statutory Holidays, i f not worked wil l be calculated at one tenth (1/10) of the total hours worked in the pay period previous to which the Statutory Holiday falls, maximum pay not to exceed seven and a half (7.5) hours. b) I f a non-permanent employee works on a Statutory Holiday, the employee shall be paid two (2) times his regular hourly rate o f pay, plus one tenth (1/10) o f the total hours worked in that pay period.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work. B. On each of the holidays designated above, each part-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee’s basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Termination prior to a Public Holiday (a) If the Employer terminates the employment of an Employee, the Employer will pay the Employee a day’s ordinary wages for each public holiday prescribed in this Agreement which falls within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after the date the Employee’s employment is terminated. For clarity, day one is the day after the Employee’s employment was terminated. (b) Where two (2) or more of the holidays fall within a seven (7) day span, such holidays shall be a ‘group’ of holidays. If the first day of the group of holidays falls within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after the date the Employee’s employment is terminated, the whole group shall be deemed to fall within the ten (10) consecutive days, and the Employee will be paid a day’s ordinary wages for each such day. For example, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day (or days in lieu thereof) shall be regarded as a group.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s Annual Leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s Annual Leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Holiday During Vacation If a holiday, named under Article 7 of this Agreement, falls within the vacation period of an employee, he shall be granted an additional day's pay in lieu of the holiday.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Sunday Premium Any employee who is required to work at any time on a Sunday shall be paid a Sunday premium in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay in the amount of seventy-five (75¢) cents per hour, for each such hour and portion of an hour worked. Sunday premium pay shall not be added to an employee's hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to the “in charge” employees referred to in sub-articles 23.03 and 23.04 of this Agreement.

  • Non-Business Day Payments Whenever any payment shall be stated to be due on a day other than a Business Day, such payment shall be made on the next succeeding Business Day, and such extension of time shall in such case be included in the computation of payment of interest or fees, as the case may be; provided, however, that if such extension would cause payment of interest on or principal of Eurodollar Rate Advances to be made in the next following calendar month, such payment shall be made on the next preceding Business Day.

  • Eligibility for Holiday Pay A. An employee must be paid for all or a portion of both the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately prior to a holiday and the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately after that holiday in order to receive holiday pay. With County approval, compensatory time earned for working on a holiday or for a holiday falling on a regularly scheduled day off may be taken on the first scheduled working day after the holiday. B. A new employee whose first working day is the day after a holiday shall not be paid for that holiday. C. An employee who elects paid County retirement on a holiday shall be paid for the holiday. D. An employee who is terminating employment for reasons other than paid County retirement and whose last day as a paid employee is the day before a holiday shall not be paid for that holiday. E. Only regular, limited-term and probationary employees shall be eligible for holiday pay.

  • Floating Holiday All employees except intermittent, emergency, and temporary employees shall also receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement. However, seasonal employees shall be eligible for only one (1) floating holiday per season and intermittent employees shall receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement if they complete ninety-one (91) working days in that fiscal year. Unless waived by the supervisor, the employee must request the floating holiday at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. The Appointing Authority may limit the number of employees that may be absent on any given day subject to the operational needs of the Appointing Authority. Any conflicts for requested holidays shall be resolved on the basis of State Seniority within the employee's work unit. The Appointing Authority shall make a reasonable effort to approve the requested holiday. Floating holidays may not be accumulated. An employee who has not requested the floating holiday by March 1 of each fiscal year or by thirty (30) calendar days prior to the end of an employee's season shall be scheduled to take a floating holiday on a day chosen by the Appointing Authority or be paid for the floating holiday in cash at the option of the Appointing Authority.

  • Non-Business Day If any payment of principal or interest on any Loan or of any other Obligation shall fall due on a day which is not a Business Day, interest or fees (as applicable) at the rate, if any, such Loan or other Obligation bears for the period prior to maturity shall continue to accrue on such Obligation from the stated due date thereof to and including the next succeeding Business Day, on which the same shall be payable.
