Non-tenured faculty shall be evaluated in accordance with the Mode A evaluation process, annually for the first four years. When a contract faculty member has not served seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the annual load in the first year of employment, or fifty percent (50%) or more of the annual load in the second year of employment, the faculty member’s evaluation shall be extended.

Non-tenured. All non-tenured teachers will receive a written evaluation twice during their first year of employment and once each year thereafter, until receiving tenure, or more often as deemed necessary by the teacher or his/her Supervisors. This written evaluation will become part of the permanent file of the teacher.

Upon receipt of a notice of non-­‐reemployment non-­‐tenured certificated personnel may follow the procedures established in NJAC 6A: 32-­‐4.6

Non-tenured. All teachers new to the district, who have not received tenure in an outside district, will be classified as non- tenured until they are offered a fourth (4th) year contract. Teachers who have received tenure at another district will be considered non-tenured until they are offered a third (3rd) year contract.
Non-tenured teachers shall not acquire seniority until they acquire tenure and upon acquisition of tenure, their seniority date shall revert back to their first day of continuous service under contract, immediately prior to regular contract service shall be counted toward a teacher’s seniority.
