Oregon Paid Sick Leave. Use of earned leave used for reasons 24 which qualify under the Oregon Paid Sick Leave law shall be counted against the 25 nurse’s Oregon Paid Sick Leave entitlement. Use of earned leave for reasons other 26 than those that qualify under the Oregon Paid Sick Leave law shall not be counted 27 against the nurse’s Oregon Paid Sick Leave entitlement. Notwithstanding the foregoing 28 sentence, the Hospital shall not be required to provide additional sick leave to 29 employees who utilize all of their yearly accrual of earned leave for reasons other than 30 those that qualify under the Oregon Paid Sick Leave law.

Oregon Paid Sick Leave. Paid sick leave taken under this Article 21 will run concurrently with any sick leave to which an employee may be entitled under the Oregon Paid Sick Leave law.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Advanced Sick Leave A. An employee who sustains a temporary, recoverable illness, injury, serious disability, or who is eligible for parental leave under the Parental Leave Policy, may be eligible to borrow up to sixty (60) days of sick leave in a twelve (12) month period. This advanced sick leave may be granted by the Associate Vice President of Human Resources or designee at the rate of fifteen (15) days for each year of the employee’s completed USM/State service. The employee must have a satisfactory record of work performance and sick leave usage and must have exhausted available paid leave.
