Outside Candidates. 981 Supervisors shall receive applications from current unit 982 members first. If all applications from current unit members are 983 rejected, Human Resources will consider outside candidates.
Outside Candidates. The Board agrees that it will fill vacancies with qualified employees from within the bargaining unit prior to seeking candidates from outside the bargaining unit.
Outside Candidates. Subject to the procedure in this Article, the Chief may fill a Sergeant vacancy with an individual from outside the bargaining unit in the event there are no internal candidates.
Outside Candidates. X. Employees transferred to a position in the same job classification shall meet with their supervisor to establish goals and objectives for the new assignment within three (3) months of transferring to the new position.

The Personnel Services 784 Department shall send a job posting to the Chief Xxxxxxx and 785 the xxxxxxx for the classification of the posting. The xxxxxxx 786 will have to the end of the posting period to submit to the 787 Personnel Services Department any additional information for 788 use in the screening of candidates. Supervisors shall receive 789 applications for advancement first. If all candidates for 790 advancement are rejected, the Personnel Services Department 791 will then provide supervisors with the applicants for transfers. If 792 a vacancy still exists after considering advancements or lateral 793 transfers of unit members, a posting for outside candidates will 794 occur.

Outside Candidates. Competitive candidates from outside the Agency who apply for a specific vacancy announcement under appropriate merit promotion procedures must compete on an equal basis with internal candidates. Therefore, all merit promotion candidates must be rated under the same ranking procedures for any vacancy within the bargaining unit.
Outside Candidates. Outside candidates must meet the Company’s recruiting requirements (including drug testing and background checks), and successfully complete a mathematical aptitude test. Outside candidates must also satisfy the licensing requirements of the MGCB.
