Internal Candidates. During the seven (7) day posting internal candidates may apply.

Internal Candidates. Provided there are no requests to transfer into the vacant position, internal promotional candidates will be given first consideration for any posted vacancy. If more than one
(1) internal promotional candidate with the qualifications, skills and abilities necessary for the position applies, the most senior internal candidate will be selected. The Employer will not be required to select for promotion any employee who has had documented performance deficiencies or disciplinary action in the six (6) months immediately preceding the posting of the vacancy.
Internal Candidates. 13.5.1 Where a Selection Panel has been formed in accordance with clause 13.4.2;
a. all internal applicants for the vacancy who meet all of the selection criteria will be interviewed, subject to 13.
Internal Candidates. If no internal candidates apply or are not equally or better qualified to fill the position(s), nothing in the Agreement shall prohibit the Board from employing persons from outside the bargaining unit.

The Employer will transfer / place an employee to their new position within fourteen (14) calendar days but no more than thirty (30) days maximum upon awarding the new position to the internal candidate.
Internal Candidates i. A University Hospital employee who voluntarily transfers or is promoted shall serve a ninety (90) day probationary period in his/her Supervisor position. The Hospital reserves the right to extend the initial probationary period for transferred or promoted Supervisors for up to an additional ninety (90) days.Time spent on an authorized leave shall not count towards the probationary period.
ii. Prior to the start of the probationary period, an employee will be provided with the job description and the department will meet with the employee to review the job expectations of his/her position. The employee will receive feedback on his/her performance after thirty (30) and sixty (60) days and if the probationary period is extended, after thirty (30) and sixty (60) days during the extended period. Notice of an unsatisfactory probation appraisal will be provided to the Union.
iii. A University Hospital employee who voluntarily transfers or is promoted into a Supervisor position, and is rated unsatisfactory at the conclusion of his probationary period, shall be given a statement setting forth the reasons for the unsatisfactory rating. Such employee shall be permitted to return to an equivalent position in their former job title so long as such position is available. Should such employee’s former job title not be available, the employee shall be placed on a recall list for their former job title so long as the former job title is within this negotiations unit.
Internal Candidates. A unit member may submit a request for a transfer, reassignment, or promotion for a specific position at any time. A district letter of intent is required, and must be submitted annually. Annual requests expire each year on June 30th. If an internal candidate is not selected to fill a position, the District shall, upon request of the Unit Member, deliver in writing the reasons for the Unit Member not being selected to fill a vacancy.
2.3.1. Additionally, unit members who have a current letter on file for the relevant vacancy shall be invited to interview for the position, but are not guaranteed the job. LUCEA Bargaining Agreement 2023-2026
Internal Candidates. In selecting the candidate for appointment to the position, the Employer Representative shall consider the Report and recommendations of the Selection Committee. Where two (2) or more internal candidates are recommended and judged equal in terms of suitability, qualifications, experience, skills and ability, the Employer Representative shall offer the position to the internal candidate with the greater seniority.
Internal Candidates a. Qualified internal candidates who apply within eight (8) working days of the initial posting date shall be granted an interview.
b. Only the XXX Human Resources Department (HR) shall be responsible for notifying all internal candidates of their selection or non-selection for XXX positions and whether an internal or external candidate was selected.
c. An internal candidate who has not been selected may request a meeting with HR for information as to why the candidate was not selected and/or to receive counseling on areas needing further development and growth. HR shall inform the internal candidate of this option.
d. Any employee shall have the opportunity to meet with HR to discuss training and development opportunities available to the employee.
