Outside the Lower Mainland. When travelling in a taxi, crummy, company supplied or like vehicle outside of regular straight time shift hours, such non-operating travel time shall be paid at one and one half (1%) times the otherwise applicable straight time hourly wage rate for the driver, and one and one-quarter (1%) times the otherwise applicable straight time hourly wage rate for the passenger(s). Only one (1) employee shall be paid as a driver for any single trip, and the Employer shall retain the right to designate such driver at its sole discretion. Such vehicles will conform to public transportation standards with full insurance coverage and operated in compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if agreed between the Employer and the Union, an employee may receive a mileage allowance in lieu of the applicable hourly rate to an employee for non-crane operating travel beyond twenty (20) kilometer radius from their branch (yard) based on the following formula: Crane Rental Agreement May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2023

Payment shall be considered due on such volume as if the logs were removed on the date of said notification.
