(i) time off in lieu of one hour off for each hour worked; or (ii) the payment of all overtime hours at the appropriate overtime rates (as per Clause 4.2.1(i))

Overtime and Time in Lieu. (a) (i) For all time of duty outside the ordinary hours of work or before the time fixed for commencing or after the time fixed for finishing a shift, Monday to Friday, overtime shall be paid at the rate of time and one half for the first two hours and double time thereafter.
Overtime and Time in Lieu. This clause shall only apply to positions classified at level 1 and 2. (a) Overtime shall only be worked with the prior approval of the Chief Executive Officer or delegate. (b) All authorised time worked by an employee in excess of ordinary hours of work as prescribed in Clauses 8 and 12. (d) Overtime worked on Sundays shall be paid at the rate of double time. (e) By mutual agreement time of lieu may be granted in lieu of payment. Such time off shall be taken at a time/day as mutually agreed. (f) The time taken shall be equivalent to the overtime payment.

A BADAC employee will be paid the following payments for all work done in addition to their rostered ordinary hours on any day: a) for all authorised overtime worked, payment will be made at the applicable penalty rate. By mutual agreement, employees may be compensated by way of time off instead of payment for overtime on the following bases: a) Time off must be taken: i. within the period of 3 months after the overtime is worked; and ii. at a time or times within that period of 3 months agreed by the employee and employer. iii. When accrual of time in lieu is equivalent to 2 ordinary days (15 hours.) b) If the employee requests at any time, to be paid for overtime covered by an agreement under this clause but not taken as time in lieu, the employer must pay the employee for the overtime, in the next pay period following the request, at the overtime rate applicable to the overtime when worked, based on the rates of pay applying at the time payment is made. c) If time in lieu of overtime that has been worked is not taken within the period of 3 months mentioned in paragraph (d) (i), the employer must pay the employee for the overtime, in the next pay period, at the overtime rate applicable to the overtime when worked, based on the rates of pay applying at the time payment is made. d) The employer must keep a copy of any agreement under this clause as an employee record. e) An employer must not exert undue influence or undue pressure on an employee to make, or not make, an agreement to take time in lieu of payment for overtime.
Overtime and Time in Lieu. An employee works overtime only when they work outside their ordinary hours of work at the direction or approval of their manager. Employees who work overtime will be given time off in lieu on an hour for hour basis, such time off to be taken at times agreed with their manager and subject to the operational requirements of ACN and any policy established by ACN from time to time in relation to time off in lieu. Time off in lieu (“TOIL”) should be taken within three (3) months of it accruing. If an employee’s TOIL is not taken within the period of three (3) months mentioned above, ACN will pay the employee for the TOIL, in the next pay period following those three (3) months, at the rate of pay applicable to the employee for their ordinary hours of work under this Agreement: If an employee requests at any time to be paid for TOIL, ACN will pay the employee for the TOIL, in the next pay period following the request, at the rate of pay applicable to the employee for their ordinary hours of work under this Agreement. If, on the termination of an employee's employment, the TOIL has not been taken, ACN undertakes to pay the employee for the TOIL at the rate of pay applicable to the employee for their ordinary hours of work under this Agreement Managers have included in their pay an amount to compensate for regular overtime and are expected to work such additional hours as required to meet the requirements of their job without additional pay or benefits. However, Managers who are directed to attend ACN weekend events including, but not limited to, Expositions, Workshops and Conferences may be granted time off in lieu at the discretion of the National Director/Chief Operating Officer/Chief Executive Officer.
Overtime and Time in Lieu. 22.1 Any amount paid to an Employee in excess of the minimum rate of pay for the Employee’s grade under this Agreement will not be regarded as a set-off against overtime worked, except as provided for in clause 6.2. 22.2 The hourly rate for overtime purposes will be calculated by dividing the minimum Agreement rate of pay for the Employee’s grade by 38. 22.3 Overtime is payable for hours worked in excess of 38 hours per week or hours worked in excess of rostered hours. 22.4 Overtime will be compensated for in the following manner: 22.4.1 The first hour of Overtime accrued must be taken as Time In Lieu (TIL). Paid overtime will be paid at the rate of time and a half for the first hour and double time thereafter with each 38 hour week standing alone. 22.4.2 TIL may be taken when agreed provided that the taking of banked TIL is limited to single blocks not exceeding five (5) days. 22.4.3 Where TIL is taken on a Public Holiday there will be no additional accrual or payment for the Public Holiday in question. 22.4.4 Banked TIL cannot exceed thirty-eight (38) hours after which banked TIL exceeding must be paid as overtime. 22.4.5 Banked TIL is paid out on termination of employment.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Part-Time Nurse is a Nurse hired to a position to work on a regular or temporary basis that is less than the work period of a Full-Time Nurse.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

  • Overtime and Compensatory Time Overtime work shall be compensated as follows: A. Hours in an active pay status in excess of forty (40) hours in any calendar week shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the total rate of pay, as defined by Section 43.01, for each hour of such time. Total rate of pay includes the base rate plus longevity, all applicable supplements, and shift differential where applicable. B. An employee may elect to take compensatory time off in lieu of cash overtime payment for hours in an active pay status more than forty (40) hours in any calendar week. Such compensatory time shall be granted on a time and one-half (1 1/2) basis. C. The maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be two hundred forty (240) hours and compensatory time must be taken within one (1) year of its being earned. D. When the maximum hours of compensatory time accrual is rendered, payment for overtime work shall be made in cash. Compensatory time not taken within one (1) year shall be paid in cash to a maximum of eighty (80) hours in any pay period. E. Compensatory time is not available for use until it appears on the employee’s earnings statement and on the date the funds are made available. F. Upon termination of employment, an employee shall be paid for unused compensatory time at a rate which is the higher of: 1. The final total rate received by the employee, or 2. The average total rate received by the employee during the last three (3) years of employment. For the purposes of this Article, active pay status is defined as the conditions under which an employee is eligible to receive pay, and includes, but is not limited to, vacation leave and personal leave. Sick leave and any leave used in lieu of sick leave shall not be considered as active pay status for purposes of this Article. Compensatory time requests must be submitted in writing twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the anticipated time off, unless the need for time off is of an emergency nature.

  • Overtime/Compensatory Time A. Employees working assigned, pre-approved time in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be given either overtime pay or compensatory time at the rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay. The name of the supervisor authorized to approve overtime assignments shall be posted in each building. The employee may elect to take either overtime pay or compensatory time off. Holidays, sick leave, personal days, or vacation days shall be included as regular time for purposes of computing overtime. In the event overtime is required, the Assistant Superintendent or his/her designee shall solicit volunteers to fill the overtime positions. In the event no volunteers are available or the volunteers available are unqualified in the opinion of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, overtime may be assigned. Overtime assignments will be made on a rotational basis at each work site to employees who normally do the work assigned. Reasonable advance notice will be given to employees assigned overtime. An employee shall not be called in for snow removal duty sooner than 8 hours following the conclusion of his/her regular shift or any other work performed for the District. B. Only forty-five (45) hours of compensatory time can be earned in a contract year. Use of compensatory time must be approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Compensatory time earned must be used during the contract year in which it is earned or cashed in for pay at the rate in effect for the employee at the time the employee receives such payment. Employees who have accumulated more than forty (40) hours of compensatory time at the time of execution of this Agreement shall retain all such accumulated time, provided, however, that such employees shall not be allowed to use more than forty (40) hours in any contract year. All compensatory time must be submitted on a timesheet. C. All overtime worked must be submitted on a timesheet to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. Requests for use of compensatory time off shall be submitted in writing to the building principal in accordance with business office procedures for processing payroll. X. Xx employee called in to work on his/her day off will be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate. E. The decision to assign overtime will not be based upon an employee’s preference for either compensatory time or overtime pay. F. In the event an employee’s regular permanent assignment requires the performance of duties in more than one job classification, the overtime rate to be used to calculate compensation for the employee for the overtime work shall be the rate of the classification which caused the employee to work such overtime hours.

  • Overtime and Premium Pay A nurse shall be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the nurse’s regular hourly rate of pay for all hours worked in any one category listed below, including statutory overtime pay under 9.4.1 or premium pay under 9.4.2 through

  • Travel time allowance All employees shall be paid an allowance (See Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance shall also be paid for rostered days off.

  • Payment for Working Overtime on a Holiday Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday, such employee shall receive twice (2x) his regular straight time hourly rate for such authorized overtime.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate. 5.3.2 Additional holidays recognized in the Construction Industry in each geographical area will be observed on all work covered by this Appendix.
