Overtime Worked. The UNION may have access to records of overtime worked in each department, division or section.

Overtime Worked. An employee, at his/her option, is eligible to accrue compensatory time off in lieu of a wage payment for approved overtime hours worked at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) hours for every overtime hour worked.

(a) All time worked in excess of 11 hours 40 minutes per shift between midnight Sunday and midnight Saturday, shall be paid at the rate of time and one half for the first two hours and double time thereafter. Each period of overtime shall stand alone.
(b) Any overtime work carried out on Sundays shall be paid for at the rate of double time.
(c) Any overtime work carried out on a public holiday shall be paid for at the rate of double time and a half.
(d) An Employee who works overtime on a rostered day off, Saturday or Sunday or on a public holiday shall be paid a minimum payment for three hours work at the appropriate overtime rates.
(e) An Employee required to work a shift on a day on which they are not rostered and given less than 24 hours’ notice in advance will be paid one meal allowance in accordance with Schedule B Item 2 of the Roads and Maritime Services Consolidated Salaried Award 2016.

Overtime rates, computed at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular base rate shall be paid in lieu of regular wages for work performed by an employee in excess of forty (40) hours in any work week (thirty-six (36) hours scheduled work week for 12-hour rotating shifts. Overtime Worked. Where the Employer requires a Nurse to work overtime, the following shall apply:
(a) All time authorized by the Employer and worked after the scheduled eight (8) hours per day or a period of eighty (80) hours in two weeks shall be considered overtime and shall be compensated at the rate of one and one half (1.5 x) time the Nurse’s regular hourly rate times the number of overtime hours worked.
(b) A Nurse who works more than four (4) continuous hours of overtime shall receive double time (2x) for all such overtime in excess of four(4) hours. Overtime at the beginning and end of a scheduled shift, without a break, shall be deemed to have been continuous.
