Overtime Provisions. It is understood that the Company may require employees to perform work in excess of their regularly scheduled hours. (a) All time in excess of the employees regularly scheduled work day shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half (11/2) the normal day rate for the first four (4) hours and double time thereafter, (b) A paid fifteen (15) minute rest period shall be taken prior to working three (3) or more hours of overtime. (c) The sixth day worked in a calendar week beyond forty hours of regular work in that week, shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half (11/2) the normal day rate for the first eight and one-half (8 1/2) hours and double time thereafter. The definition of Saturday for overtime purposes is from Friday at 11:00pm until Saturday at 11:00pm. (f) If required, the Company will first attempt to fill overtime opportunities by asking the senior person scheduled in that job on that machine first. Next, the company will look to other qualified candidates in the LOP to fill that overtime. (g) The Company will endeavor to distribute overtime opportunities equitably in all Departments according to qualifications. All overtime worked and refused will be calculated and posted monthly. (h) In the event the Company is unable to fulfill its overtime requirements with volunteers, the Company may assign the most junior qualified employees necessary. (i) Employees on a continuous schedule who have worked their full regularly scheduled weekly shifts, and who are scheduled to work on a day scheduled off shall receive time and one half for all hours worked. However, an employee who is required to work on a Sunday and is on a scheduled day off, shall receive double time for all hours worked.

Supervisors are also obligated to ensure that hours of work are properly recorded and employees are compensated for all hours of actual work. C. If the start of an employee's regularly scheduled work duty day falls within eight hours of the previous regularly scheduled duty day (turnaround time), the employee shall be paid for compensated at the overtime rate for those regularly scheduled duty hours or portions thereof falling within that eight-hour period. Time-and-one-half turnaround time shall be submitted as straight time equal to one half of the hours falling within the eight-hour period of the previous regularly scheduled duty day. The employee will be paid regular wages for the two-hour-turnaround period by virtue of the fact that this is scheduled as a regular workday. The additional half-time compensation would be compensated via an Overtime Report requesting compensation for one-half of the turnaround period (1/2 of 2.0 hours = 1.0 hour) at the straight-time rate. D. Employees who sign up for overtime after the initial list for the period is established will be placed at the bottom of the list at high hours. 5. Overtime lists shall be posted and updated as overtime occurs. Employees not desiring overtime shall indicate, in writing, each period that they do not want overtime. Should an employee wish to begin or return to the overtime list, he/she may do so at the beginning of each overtime period. Any employee on the overtime list who declines overtime three (3) consecutive times will be removed from the list for the remainder of the period. The Employer reserves the right to require overtime whenever its needs exceed the availability of volunteer list. 6. Employees will be credited for overtime worked or charged for overtime refused at the rate they would be paid: i.e., eight (8) hours on Saturday equals twelve (12) hours of pay and eight (8) hours on Sunday equals sixteen (16) hours of pay. 7. Overtime will be equalized among employees in a department or (for custodians) by building according to the periods noted in the specific department below. 8. Regular straight time hourly pay rates will be granted for management required attendance at approved classes, whether attendance is within or outside of the employee’s regular work hours if such classes require the employee to work no more than eight (8) hours in a day or forty (40) hours in a week or Saturday work. 9. If an employee is scheduled for vacation on Friday and if he/she does not wish to work overtime or perform building checks on the weekend, he/she will not be schedule or charged for overtime.
