Part Time - Additional Shifts. The Hospital will distribute shifts above the regular part-time commitment amongst regular part-time employees within each unit. This will be determined on the basis of seniority for those employees who have indicated four weeks in advance their availability for each six week schedule. Remaining available extra shifts will then be offered to casuals who have indicated four weeks in advance their availability for each six week schedule, ensuring seniority and a fair distribution of shifts amongst casual employees is taken into consideration.

The individual call will be sent based on seniority in the following order: regular part-time, job-sharers, and then to casual nurses.   • Additional Shifts 32.1 The Employer is committed to maximising its permanent workforce in line with its occupancy levels. The Employer will always offer additional shifts in the first instance to its permanent part-time staff where practicable. It will then offer additional shifts to its casual or bank staff, where applicable.

Medicaid- Funded Hour(s) worked shall be defined as all hours worked by all employees covered by this Agreement in the Employer's in-home care program that are paid by Medicaid, excluding vacation hours, paid-time off hours, and training hours.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.

  • Safety Shoe Allowance For each unit member required by the City to wear safety shoes, the City shall provide a voucher from the City-designated department for up to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) annually toward the cost of acquiring one pair of safety shoes through the City vendor.
