Part Time Pay In Lieu of Benefits. Part-time Employees who have completed their probationary period and who are not eligible to participate in the benefit plans under this article shall be paid three (3%) percent in lieu of those benefits, the amount to be added to each pay cheque. Effective April 1, 2021, the amount shall be four (4%) percent.

Part Time Pay In Lieu of Benefits. ‌ A part-time employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits including holiday pay and sick leave pay (being those benefits paid to an employee in whole or in part by the Employer as part of a direct compensation or otherwise, save and except salary, vacation pay, bereavement pay, jury and witness pay) an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of his/her straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid. Where a part-time employee participates in OMERS he/she will receive six percent (6%) of his/her straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid. A part-time employee who is awarded a temporary full-time position will continue to receive a percent in lieu of benefits. Effective April 1, 2005, the above noted percentage in lieu, for an employee not participating in OMERS, will be increased to twelve percent (12%).

  • Payment in Lieu of Benefits a) All employees not transferred to the Trust who received pay in lieu of benefits under a collective agreement in effect as of August 31, 2014, shall continue to receive the same benefit.

  • Payment of Benefits Any amounts due under this Agreement shall be paid in one (1) lump sum payment as soon as administratively practicable following the later of: (i) Xx.   • Predetermination of Benefits If charges for a planned course of treatment by a licensed dentist would exceed $300.00, proposed details and x-rays should be submitted to the Plan Administrator for approval. Failure to do so may result in a payment of a lesser benefit amount because of the difficulty in determining the need for such treatment after it has been provided. Dental x-rays will be promptly returned to the dentist.

  • Restoration of Benefits The correction method should restore the plan to the position it would have been in had the failure not occurred, including restoration of current and former participants and beneficiaries to the benefits and rights they would have had if the failure had not occurred.

  • Death Benefits Upon the Executive's death during the Contract Period, his estate shall not be entitled to any further benefits under this Agreement.

  • COMPUTATION OF BENEFITS All hours paid to an employee shall be considered as hours worked for the purpose of computing any of the benefits under this Agreement.

  • Part-Time Benefits A part-time employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or in part by the hospitals, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call-in pay, responsibility pay, jury and witness duty, bereavement leave, and pregnancy and parental supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to 14% of his regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid. For part-time employees who are members of the Hospital's pension plan the percentage in lieu of fringe benefits is twelve percent (12%).

  • Layoff Benefits All rights to which a certificated employee was entitled at the time of his/her layoff including unused accumulated sick leave and credits toward leave eligibility will be restored to the certificated employee upon his/her return to active employment, and the certificated employee will be placed upon the proper step of the salary schedule for the certificated employee's current position according to the certificated employee's experience and education.

  • Explanation of Benefits Contractor shall send each Enrollee an Explanation of Benefits to Enrollees in Plans that issue Explanation of Benefits or similar documents as required by Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations. The Explanation of Benefits and other documents shall be in a form that is consistent with industry standards.

  • STAFF BENEFITS 7.1.1 The present staff benefits consisting of the University of Manitoba Pension Plan (1993), Group Term Life Insurance Plan, Group Term Dependent Insurance Plan, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Basic), Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Voluntary), University of Manitoba Long-Term Disability Income Plan, Group Health Insurance Policy 20778 GH (including the Health Care Spending Account), Group Dental Plan Policy 67000, and the University Employee Assistance Program shall continue to cover eligible Members for the duration of this Agreement.
