Common use of Part-Time Work Clause in Contracts

Part-Time Work. 39.1 A part-time employee is one whose ordinary hours of work are less than 37 hours and 30 minutes per week. 39.2 Unless otherwise specified in this Agreement, remuneration and other conditions for part-time employees, including leave, will be calculated on a pro rata basis. 39.3 Allowances of a reimbursement/expense nature will be the same for part- time and full-time employees. 39.4 Where an employee is part-time, the employee will have a part-time work agreement prepared which will specify: (a) the ordinary hours of work; (b) the core hours and standard day that will apply to the employee; (c) the duration of the part-time work; and (d) any specific arrangements that are needed to facilitate the part-time work.
