Common use of Partial Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

Partial Medical Leave. a. When a full time employee produces a medical certificate stating that the employee, while medically unable to work full time, is capable of working part time, the employee’s assignment may be reduced or they may be reassigned to a part time position where it is practical to do so. Such a change should reflect the capability of the employee to handle the new position. b. Any employee on partial medical leave will earn sick leave proportionately for the portion of time worked pursuant to Article G.20.3 above.
