Teachers granted leave under Article G.21.1 or Article G.21.7 who choose not to return to work at the expiration of that leave may apply for an extended maternity leave, four (4) weeks prior to the start of a semester or term, or by May 1 in respect to leave expiring on June 30.

  • Parental Leave (a) An employee who becomes a parent, and who has been employed for at least thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the date of the birth of child or the date the child first came into care or custody of the employee, shall be entitled to parental leave.
