Pastoral Care. 4.1 The School's commitment: We will do all that is reasonable to safeguard and promote the Pupil's welfare and to provide pastoral care to at least the standard required by law in the particular circumstances. We will respect the Pupil's human rights and freedoms which must, however, be balanced with the lawful needs and rules of the School community and the rights and freedoms of others.

The Parents agree that the Head has the right to require the Pupil to remain away from the School temporarily at the home of her Parents or education guardian:
4.1.1 pending the outcome of an investigation (please see also clause 7.5) or
4.1.2 if the Head considers that the Pupil's presence at the School presents a risk to her or to any other pupil.
Pastoral Care. 11.1 The School recognises that natural personal development can involve stress and our network within the School helps pupils to cope with this. All members of staff share a concern for pupils’ wellbeing. The School (through the Headmaster / Junior Head) acts in your place whenever your child is at School or on a School-related activity. You agree that the School may give instructions, impose sanctions and take decisions about your child’s care and welfare in your absence, whilst taking into account any preferences you may have given. We cannot accept any responsibility for the welfare of your child while off the School premises unless he or she is taking part in a School activity or otherwise under the supervision of a member of the School staff.
Pastoral Care. The Provider will:
4.1. Allocate each student a Student Engagement Lead, who will undertake first line duties in regard to attendance, punctuality, behaviour, engagement and mentoring.
4.2. The allocated Student Engagement Lead will monitor academic and personal targets, meet regularly with the student, convene and lead a monthly progress review processes, liaise with parents/carers on a regular basis, liaise with any professionals who may be involved with the student and maintain regular communication with the nominated Commissioner representative of the referred student.
4.3. SDSL will ensure that Safeguarding and the reduction of risk are central to all the work undertaken by the teaching staff and engagement team.
4.4. Provide access, as appropriate, to provision (such as 1:1 or small group counselling) to meet students social and emotional and mental health needs.
4.5. Provide access, as appropriate, to Family Support Services.
Pastoral Care. School Management will plan to improve student Pastoral Care through consistent application of school standards for all students. ● Ensure that students demonstrate responsibility for their behaviour and learning, to match the values of HBHS. ● Promote student pride in themselves and the school. ● Ensure that students respect the rights of all. ● Motivate students and challenge them to excel.

Pastoral Care. Will provide pastoral care for the congregation including hospital and home visitation in crises, and counseling as negotiated with individual and families.
Pastoral Care for the concerns related to matters outside the classroom, parents may speak or write to the homeroom teacher, social worker, section coordinators, section supervisors as deemed appropriate.

The allocated member of staff will monitor academic and personal targets, meet regularly with the student, convene and lead the weekly and monthly progress review processes, liaise with parents/carers on a regular basis, liaise with any professionals who may be involved with the student and maintain regular communication with the ‘home’ school/academy of the referred student.
4.3. SDSL will ensure that Safeguarding and the reduction of risk are central to all the work undertaken by the teaching staff and engagement team.
4.4. Provide access, as appropriate, to provision (such as 1:1 or small group counseling) to meet students social and emotional needs.
4.5. Provide access, as appropriate, to Family Support Services.
Pastoral Care. The parties accept the significant role the School's pastoral care system plays in the development of students and agree to continue to develop and enhance pastoral care at the School. Further, the parties accept that all teachers have a significant pastoral care role at all times and recognise that the pastoral care system underpins and complements this.
