Pay for Unused Sick Leave. Employees in good standing whose employment with the City is otherwise terminated shall be paid for unused sick leave in accordance with the following:
A. (a) Employees with five (5) or less years of continuous service shall receive no payment.
B. (b) Employees within excess of with five (5) years to twelve (12) years of continuous service up to and including twelveshall receive 25% of said leave.
(c) Employees with twelve (12) or more years of continuous service shall receive 100% of said leave.
(d) Payment for unused sick leave shall be at the employee's rate of pay at the time.
(e) Payment for unused sick leave does not extend the employee's status as a City employee.
