Common use of Pay for Unused Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Pay for Unused Sick Leave. If an employee requests severance pay and meets the eligibility requirements set forth in 13.2, he or she will receive a District contribution to the Severance Plan in an amount equal to $175 for each day of accrued unused sick leave for up to one hundred fourteen and twenty-nine one-hundredth (114.29) days.

Effective January 1, 2026, the maximum amount for accrued unused sick leave will increase to $24,500.
