Payment of Agency Fee. Commencing upon the effective date of this Agreement and, unless exempted by Section 9.6(D) of this Agreement, any GSEAU who becomes affiliated with American University in a graduate degree program for the first time on or after December 20, 2018 (and who does not elect to voluntarily have dues deducted pursuant to Section 9.6(A) of this Agreement) shall, within thirty-one (31) days after his or her initial date becoming a member of the bargaining unit subject to this Agreement, be required to pay an agency fee (a service charge as a contribution toward the cost of administration of this Agreement and representation by the Union). The amount of such agency fee shall be determined by the Union, in accordance with applicable law, as a percentage of full dues uniformly required to be paid as dues and initiation fees by those who choose to become members of the Union under Section 9.6(A) of this Agreement.

Commencing upon the effective date of this Agreement, and unless exempted by Section 11.7(D) of this Agreement, any employee hired by Management for the first time as an employee covered by this Agreement on or after May 15, 2018 (and who does not elect to have dues deducted pursuant to Section 11.7(A) of this Agreement) shall, within thirty-one (31) days after his or her initial date of hire, be required to pay an agency fee (a service charge as a contribution toward the cost of administration of this Agreement and representation by the Union). The amount of such agency fee shall be determined by the Union, in accordance with applicable law, as a percentage of full dues uniformly required to be paid as dues and initiation fees by those who choose to become members of the Union under Section 11.7(A) of this Agreement.

Commencing upon the effective date of this Agreement, and unless exempted by Section 9.6(D) of this Agreement, any employee hired by Management for the first time as an employee covered by this Agreement on or after June 1, 2013 (and who does not elect to have dues deducted pursuant to Section 9.6(A) of this Agreement) shall, as a condition of continued employment, within thirty-one (31) days after his or her initial appointment, be required to pay an agency fee (a service charge as a contribution toward the cost of administration of this Agreement and representation by the Union). The amount of such agency fee shall be determined by the Union, in accordance with applicable law, as a percentage of full dues uniformly required to be paid as dues and initiation fees by those who choose to become members of the Union under Section 9.6(A) of this Agreement. An employee’s failure to meet the requirements of this Section 9.6(C) will prevent the employee from receiving future assignments until the failure is rectified and confirmed by the Union.

(1) Management shall encourage newly hired GSEAUs to select their Union status as part of the hiring process.
(2) A GSEAU may complete a membership form at any time to become a regular member of the union rather than an agency fee payer.

A. Management shall continue to cooperate with the Union in seeking compliance with this Section 9.6(C) by notifying covered employees at their time of hire of the existence of this Agreement and by providing them with Union status and pay deduction materials supplied by the Union, as part of their new hire paperwork/new hire process. Management will encourage newly hired, part-time faculty members to authorize the agency fee deduction as part of the hiring process.
B. A part-time faculty member may complete a membership form at any time to become a regular member of the union rather than an agency fee payer.
Payment of Agency Fee. The agency fees payable on the Closing Date shall have been paid; and

A unit member may pay the agency fee in one lump sum cash payment on or before October 1st of each year or thirty (30) days after initial employment or may authorize payroll deductions for such fee in the same manner as provided for Association members. In the event that a unit member does not pay such fee directly to the Association, or authorize payment through payroll deductions as provided in this Article, the Association shall inform the District in writing and the District shall promptly begin automatic payroll deduction as provided in Education Code Section 45061 and in the same manner that Association member dues are deducted. Payment of Agency Fee. 1. Paygene will pay Warrantee 16 million yen (tax included) per month in return for the clinic information. However, if Warrantee delivers more than 40 cases within a certain month, Paygene will pay an additional amount equal to the billing unit price of 400,000 yen (tax included) multiplied by the difference by which the actually delivered case number exceeds 40; and if Warrantee delivers less than 40 cases within a certain month, Warrantee’s fee will be reduced by an amount equal to the billing unit price of 400,000 yen (tax included) multiplied by the difference by which 40 exceeds the actually delivered case number.
2. Warrantee will calculate the consideration set forth in the preceding paragraph at the end of each month and will send a statement and invoice to Paygene within 2 business days of the following month, and Paygene will pay the relevant amount by the due date specified in the invoice.
