Common use of Payroll Deduction for Union Dues Clause in Contracts

Payroll Deduction for Union Dues. The City agrees to deduct a set amount each pay period from the wages due each employee who has given proper authorization for such deductions by means of a written authorization, which shall be in form reasonably acceptable to the City. This deduction shall be for Union dues and forwarded by the City to the Financial Secretary of the Union no later than the tenth of the following month. Quarterly, a one-time adjustment, as determined by the Financial Secretary of the Union and provided in writing to the City, of the weekly deduction shall be made to insure proper remittance to the Financial Secretary of the Union.
