Common use of Personal Business Days Clause in Contracts

Personal Business Days. Each full-time employee covered by this contract shall be entitled to four (4) days of personal leave, as defined by statute, per school year without loss of pay. One (1) unused personal day may be added to the next school year’s days for a maximum of five (5) personal leave days. Any other remaining days shall be transferred to the teacher’s accumulated sick leave. A teacher employed under regular contract, or a qualifying temporary contract, for only a portion of the school day and/or year shall be entitled to the proportionate number of days of personal leave.

One (1) unused pay for the transaction of personal day may be added to business and/or the next school year’s days for a maximum conduct of five (5) personal leave days. Any other remaining days shall be transferred to the teacher’s accumulated sick leaveor civic affairs. A teacher employed under regular contract, or a qualifying temporary contract, for only a portion of the school day and/or year shall be entitled to the a proportionate number of days of personal leave. If, in any school year, the teacher is absent for reasons covered in this provision for fewer than four (4) days, the remaining days shall be transferred to the teacher's accumulated sick leave.
