Positions in Scope. The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all employees of the Employer employed in Transit Operations, as defined in the Canada Industrial Relations Board order number 8637-U, dated April 30, 2004. The following positions/persons are excluded from the bargaining unit. ▪ Supervisors; ▪ Positions above the rank of supervisor; ▪ City of Ottawa employees covered by other bargaining units; ▪ All persons employed in the Offices of the Mayor, Councillors and City Manager; ▪ All persons employed in the Employee Services Branch; ▪ One Administrative Assistant for each Deputy City Manager and one for each Director; ▪ All persons who provide administrative and coordination support to Council, Boards and/or their Committees; ▪ All budget analysts and budget officers of the Financial Services Units involved in budgetary related matters associated with labour relations issues, excluded by the Canada Industrial Relations Board; ▪ All Volunteers; ▪ Any other persons excluded under the provisions of the Canada Industrial Relations Board.

  • General Scope of Services Contractor promises and agrees to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, and incidental and customary work necessary to fully and adequately supply professional services, as more particularly described in Exhibit B (Statement of Work and Misc. Documents) attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference (collectively “Services”). All Services shall be subject to, and performed in accordance with, this Contract, the exhibits attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and all applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.

Institution and Investigator will assign and shall ensure all Research Staff assign all right, title, and interest in and to such Inventions and all intellectual property rights with respect thereto, to Sponsor or its Designee (any person designated by the Sponsor in writing who undertakes activities on behalf of the Sponsor in relation to the Study, which may include an Affiliate or the Contract research organization), free and clear of all liens, claims, and encumbrances. All such property is intended to be the result of “work for hire” for the benefit of Sponsor. Upon Sponsor's request, and at Sponsor’s sole cost and expense, Institution and Investigator shall take (and will cause Research Staff to take) such actions as Sponsor deems necessary or appropriate to perfect Sponsor’s exclusive ownership of such property and obtain patent or other proprietary protection in Sponsor's name with respect to any of the foregoing.
