Common use of Prescribed Holidays Clause in Contracts

Prescribed Holidays. Employees are entitled to the following public holidays, without loss of pay: • New Year Day • Australia Day • Good Friday • Easter Saturday • Easter Monday • Easter Sunday • Anzac Day • King’s Birthday • Labour Day or Eight Hours’ Day • Christmas Day • Boxing Day • Where another day is generally observed in a locality in substitute for any of the above days, that day shall be observed as the public holiday in lieu of the prescribed day.
