Private Duty Nurse. When approved in advance by MSH Assistance and prescribed by an attending physician, the professional services of a registered private duty nurse (other than an immediate family member) as the result of a covered Pandemic related emergency when medically necessary and while hospitalized or in lieu of hospitalization.

Emergency Air Transportation: Air ambulance to the nearest appropriate medical facility or to a Canadian hospital for immediate emergency medical treatment including transport on a licensed airline with an attendant, when required. Medical Evacuation: Subject to the discretion of CanAssistance, medical evacuation by air ambulance, or transport on a licensed airline with an attendant when required, to Canada for continued immediate medical treatment. Emergency Remote Evacuation: When a regular ambulance service cannot be used, emergency evacuation from a mountain, body of water or other remote location by a commercial operator licensed to convey passengers to the nearest qualified medical facility capable of providing appropriate treatment, to a maximum payment of $5,000. Transportation to Bedside: Cost of a single round-trip economy airfare from Canada, plus up to $150 per day for the cost of meals and commercial accommodation for one of the following immediate family members or a close personal friend, to be with you if you are travelling alone and hospitalized as the result of an emergency. To be payable, this benefit requires that you be hospitalized as an inpatient for more than three (3) consecutive days outside your province or territory of residence and that the attending physician provide written certification that your medical condition was serious enough to warrant the visit; or where legally necessary, identify your remains prior to their release.

Private Duty Nurse must be a Registered Nurse, Registered Nursing Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse and must be currently registered with the appropriate nurses' association, and must not be a resident of the Participant's home or related to a member of the Participant's family by blood or marriage.
Private Duty Nurse. Subject to the terms of the Master Policy, services of a private duty nurse, while not confined in a hospital, at a yearly maximum of $10,000. With coverage equal two (2) times the employee's basic earnings to the next highest multiple of one thousand with a maximum benefit amount of $600,000. Benefit equal to two (2) times the employee’s basic earnings, to the next highest multiple of one thousand with a maximum benefit amount of $600,000. Of two thousand dollars ($2,000) upon approved retirement after five (5) years' continuous service with the Corporation.
Private Duty Nurse. There may be occasions when you desire the services of a private duty nurse. Before starting work for you, the person you hire must contact the Director of Nursing Services to discuss the guidelines which govern private duty nurses. We do not have a private duty nursing registry at Xxxxxxxx House, but you may get information on how to obtain a private duty nurse by speaking with our Director of Nursing Services. All financial arrangements will be made directly between you and the private duty nurse. Every effort will be made to place you with a compatible roommate and keep room changes to a minimum. Occasionally, however, it may be necessary to transfer a resident from one room to another for medical or administrative reasons, or to better meet individual needs. Xxxxxxxx House reserves the right to make such changes at its discretion. You will be notified of any pending changes as soon as possible.
