Professional Development Certification. Professional technical initial certification and certification renewal is guided by WAC 131-16-092-094. Pre-approved professional development activities are required.

Professional Development Certification. Section 1. Employees shall be compensated for time spent while attending work related educational or other related type meetings approved in advance by the employer, which includes travelling to and from such events. The Employer will finance no less than the hours required by the state bar association of each employee’s continuing legal education hours subject to final approval of the Employer as to timing, subject matter and location of the Continuing Legal Education course.
Professional Development Certification. Employees shall receive tuition reimbursement for up to six (6) credits per fiscal year at the appropriate level of assignment or equivalent training, with prior approval by management. The employer will provide opportunities for all staff to comply with applicable laws pertaining to certification. Employees will not be held to standards that have not been established by law or statute. With the exception of being furloughed or involuntarily terminated, employees who receive tuition reimbursement must remain employed by the District, as a full-time employee, at least 3 years beyond the date of reimbursement or, no later than their last day of employment, they will be required to repay to the District the full reimbursement amount.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The Board agrees to implement the following:

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

  • Professional Development Days Upon request, each Employee shall be granted at least three (3) professional development days annually for professional development, at the Basic Rate of Pay. An Employee shall be advised, prior to taking any professional development days of any transportation, registration fees, subsistence and other expenses that will be paid by the Employer. Such hours not used in each fiscal year shall not be carried forward into subsequent years. Applications for such paid professional development opportunities shall be made in writing, to the Employer as early as possible.
