Prohibition Against Employment While on Sick Leave with Pay. Employees are prohibited from working in any other employment while on sick leave with pay unless, after considering the medical reason for the sick leave with pay, the appointing officer with the approval of the Human Resources Director, grants permission for the employee to engage in a secondary employment subject to the provisions of the Civil Service Rules governing such employment. Violators of this section are subject to disciplinary action as provided in the Charter.
