Project Scoping and Environmental Study. Contractor will provide a preliminary roadway exhibit for the proposed roadway alignment. This exhibit will serve as the basis for the geometric approval drawings. Contractor will prepare a Preliminary Environmental Study (PES) as required by Caltrans for federally funded projects. The PES establishes the list of required technical studies for environmental clearance and identifies environmental permits required for the project. Contractor will prepare a Field Review Form (FRF) as required by Caltrans for federally funded projects. The FRF establishes monetary, traffic, structural and other technical aspects of the project. Contractor will set and conduct a field meeting at each bridge with Caltrans and Marin County staff as required for approval by Caltrans of the FRF. Upon receipt of the Caltrans signed and approved FRF and signed and approved PES and associated requirements contractor will prepare a revised HBP Funding Application to secure supplemental funding required to complete design of the project. Contractor will diligently pursue additional funding to ensure adequate funding to complete the project. Contractor will provide additional project management due to increased duration of project.
