Recall of Department Chair. 9.1.7.1 For the purposes of this entire Section 9.1.7, the department chair does not have voting rights nor is to be considered as a voting member of the department. Voting department faculty (as defined in 9.1.6 above), anytime after a Chair has served one (1) full semester in office, may petition for recall of the department chair. (The one (1) full semester waiting period does not apply to Chairs who are serving a consecutive term.)

Recall of Department Chair. The recall of a Department Chair by department members is an unusual occurrence and such recall should be based upon extraordinary circumstances. The following procedures for the recall of a Department Chair by department members shall not be used until a Chair has served at least one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment, or until an acting Chair has served at least one (1) semester from the date of appointment; provided, however, that in the case of any acting Chair who has been appointed pursuant to the provisions of the foregoing Section D and who is serving in such capacity by reason of the President’s having declined to appoint as Chair a nominee duly submitted to him/her pursuant to the provisions of the foregoing Section B, the following procedures for the recall of a Department Chair by department members may be used after such acting Chair shall have served in such capacity for a period of not fewer than ten (10) weeks during one (1) or more academic years. Only members of the department who are not on leaves of absence on a full- time basis shall be eligible to participate in the procedures set forth in this Section E.

  • Department Chairs The release time required to perform the administrative functions of the Department Chair positions shall be deducted from the total workload of the Department Chair with no less than fifty percent (50%) of this release taken from direct instructional duties.

  • Department Chairperson The department Chairperson has the dual responsibility of leading the department in fulfilling its responsibilities in academic and personnel areas and of facilitating the functioning of the department. The department Chairperson is the normal channel of communications between the department and other departments, division/areas or like groupings, offices and the administration.

  • Department Chairpersons The principal shall designate a high school librarian to serve as department chairperson, and such chairperson shall attend all school department chairperson meetings.

  • Monitoring by the Department The Contractor shall permit all persons who are duly authorized by the Department to inspect and copy any records, papers, documents, facilities, goods, and services of the Contractor that are relevant to this Contract, and to interview clients, employees, and sub-contractor employees of the Contractor to assure the Department of satisfactory performance of the terms and conditions of this Contract. Following such review, the Department shall deliver to the Contractor a written report of its finding, and may direct the development, by the Contractor, of a corrective action plan. This provision shall not limit the Department’s termination rights.

  • REGISTRATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE The CONTRACTOR shall complete registration with the Washington State Department of Revenue and be responsible for payment of all taxes due on payments made under this contract.

  • Department The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities or any successor state agency.

  • Maintenance Department All employees in this section are subject to the provisions of the Collective Agreement except as specifically covered in this section.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT The Department agrees to:

  • Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance employees, when actually climbing the cable stays of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge for inspection and/or repair, shall be compensated at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) an hour in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay. Employees shall be compensated for a minimum of one (1) hour of such work regardless of the length of the climbing assignment.
