Section 9.1.7. 9 In order to encourage regular attendance by all employees, the following attendance incentive 10 program is hereby established.
Section 9.1.7. 41 Employees who have accrued sick leave while employed by another public school district in the 42 State of Washington shall be given credit for such accrued sick leave upon employment by the 43 District.

In the case of a strike or work stoppage by any Association or union associated with the District, the 11 board of directors reserves the right to ask for a licensed heath care provider’s validation of illness, 12 provided the board acts to give advance notice that this provision will be implemented during a 13 specific time.

Section 9.1.7. 18 After the third consecutive day of absence, the employee who qualifies for FMLA leave shall 19 be placed on FMLA leave.
Section 9.1.7. 2 Experience credit for determining salary schedule placement and seniority shall be the same as 3 the experience credit the person would have received had such person not taken sick leave.
Section 9.1.7. 45 In the event an employee is absent for reasons which are covered by state industrial insurance, 46 any time lost shall not be deducted from sick leave; provided, however, the employee may 47 apply any accumulated sick leave to any required waiting period, and provided further, that 48 double payment does not result.
Section 9.1.7. 12 Experience credit for determining salary schedule placement and seniority shall be the same as the 13 experience credit the person would have received had such person not taken sick leave. Sick leave 14 shall not affect experience credit, salary schedule placement, or seniority.

Section 9.1.7. 2 The school district shall notify all employees of intent to rehire for the next school year four (4) weeks 3 prior to the end of the school year. Employees shall notify the District of their intent to return for the 4 next school year within two (2) weeks of receiving such notice. Failure to do so shall cause the 5 position to be vacant. 7 Paraeducators will be notified by the end of the school year of the minimum number of hours per day 8 they will work to begin the following year. If the state operating budget is not completed by June 1, 9 the District will notify the paraeducators of expected hours as soon as reasonably possible.
