Recall to Classification. Employees shall be recalled to permanent vacancies in their respective classifications (Bus Driver, Custodial, Maintenance/Mechanic) in the order of most seniority first, provided the employee is qualified for the vacancy. In the case of laid off bus drivers, they shall bid on vacant or open routes or assignments along with all other bus drivers as provided elsewhere in this Agreement.

Recall to Classification. An employee recalled to a classification shall assume a rate at the same relative position in the rate range as established when placed on the recall list for such classification.
Recall to Classification. Employees laid off from their classification position who bump to any other bargaining unit position in accordance with the provisions of this Article will be entitled to be recalled in their seniority order to their prior position for a period of two years following the layoff. EXCEPT: the right to be recalled to a classification from which an employee has been laid off will be forfeited if an offer of recall is made and declined. Additionally, an employee must be qualified, or qualifiable for the position within a reasonable amount of time. Nothing in this Article precludes the Port from actually reducing the number of positions available for bargaining unit members.
Recall to Classification. In the event an employee reverts to his former classification of trackman as a result of layoff under G 8.03 he shall, subject to being qualified and able, have the opportunity to return to a regular vacancy, or to a temporary vacancy that the Company is advised will exceed five (5) working days, in his previous classification prior to that job being offered as a transfer or posted. A trackman shall forfeit right of re-establishment under this clause if he rejects the first opportunity to return to his previous classification on a permanent basis or if he has accepted a position in another Department.
