Recall   Vacation Leave. When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Council, that he incurs: in proceeding to his place of duty, and in returningto the place from which he was recalled if he immediately resumes vacation upon completing the assignment for which he was recalled, after submitting such accounts and within such time limits as are required by the Council. employee shall not be as being on vacation leave for any period for which he is to be reimbursed (under sub-clause 14.06) for reasonable expenses incurred by him. Leave when Employment Except as provided in sub-clause when the employment of an employee is terminated for any reason, the employee or his estate shall, in lieu of earned but unused vacation leave and furlough leave, be paid an amount equal to the product obtained by multiplying the number of days of earned but unused vacation leave and furlough leave by the daily rate of pay applicable to the employee immediately prior to the termination of his employment. Where the employee requests, the Council shall grant the employee his unused vacation leave credits prior to termination of employment if this will enable him, for purposes of severance pay, to complete the first (1st) year of continuous employment in the case of lay-off and the tenth (10th) year of continuous employment in the case of resignation. An employee whose employment is terminated by reason of abandonment of his position is entitled to receive the payments referred to in sub-clause above if he so requests them in writing within six (6) months following the date upon which his employment is terminated by a declaration by the Council. Recall   Vacation Leave. Due to emergency operational requirements, the Employer may alter an Employee's vacation period after it has been approved, providing such vacation arrangements have been made after leave approval, but only if the Employee has made non-refundable deposits in view of his vacation and the Employer has reimbursed the Employee for loss of deposit, and, the Employee's spouse has arranged a vacation period which coincides the Employee and alternate arrangements can be made. Except in an emergency the Employer shall not recall any employee to duty once vacation has commenced.
