Relief for Unscheduled Absences. When replacing for absences on shift the following procedure will be used. a. Promote on shift. b. The Company will post a volunteer list with the weekly schedule every Tuesday. Both volunteer and relief crew will sign the list with the relief crew having preference. The volunteer employee does not assume the responsibility of the relief position. c. Employees who are scheduled on the job in which the absence occurs will be asked to work their day off. d. The Company may ask any other trained employee in the respective jurisdictions. e. After the above procedures have been followed, the scheduled employee on the relief crew will be required to be available for duty at the beginning of the shift change and remain available for two (2) hours. Employees may arrange for other qualified employees to be responsible for their calls on the approval of their immediate shift supervisor. f. When replacing for absenteeism on any job that has double coverage, example: machine tender, backtender, rewindermen, all four positions will be called before any other personnel. When calling, the first person will be the man coming off dayshift, second call to the man coming off night shift if available, the third call will be to the man on the opposite machine coming off dayshift if available, the fourth call will be the man coming off night shift from the opposite machine if available.

  • Extended Absences In the event Tenant will be away from the Premises for more than 7 consecutive days, Tenant agrees to notify Landlord in writing of such absence.   • Reporting Absences Employees are responsible for reporting to work on time on each scheduled work day. When an Employee is absent from work, they will notify their Supervisor or designate by telephone before the beginning of the work period or as soon as practicable. The Employee shall inform their Supervisor or designate of the reason for the absence, the expected time of their return to work and a telephone number where they may be reached in their absence.

  • Discontinuance of Service A. The procedures for discontinuing service to an end user are as follows: 1. Where possible, the Company will deny service to Reseller’s end user on behalf of, and at the request of, Reseller. Upon restoration of the end user’s service, restoral charges will apply and will be the responsibility of Reseller. 2. At the request of Reseller, the Company will disconnect a Reseller end user customer. 3. All requests by Reseller for denial or disconnection of an end user for nonpayment must be in writing. 4. Reseller will be made solely responsible for notifying the end user of the proposed disconnection of the service. 5. The Company will continue to process calls made to the Annoyance Call Center and will advise Reseller when it is determined that annoyance calls are originated from one of their end user’s locations. The Company shall be indemnified, defended and held harmless by Reseller and/or the end user against any claim, loss or damage arising from providing this information to Reseller. It is the responsibility of Reseller to take the corrective action necessary with its customers who make annoying calls. Failure to do so will result in the Company’s disconnecting the end user's service. B. The procedures for discontinuing service to Reseller are as follows: 1. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate service for nonpayment or in the event of prohibited, unlawful or improper use of the facilities or service, abuse of the facilities, or any other violation or noncompliance by Reseller of the rules and regulations of the Company’s Tariffs. 2. If payment of account is not received by the xxxx xxx in the month after the original xxxx xxx, the Company may provide written notice to Reseller, that additional applications for service will be refused and that any pending orders for service will not be completed if payment is not received by the fifteenth day following the date of the notice. If the Company does not refuse additional applications for service on the date specified in the notice, and Reseller's noncompliance continues, nothing contained herein shall preclude the Company's right to refuse additional applications for service without further notice. 3. If payment of account is not received, or arrangements made, by the xxxx xxx in the second consecutive month, the account will be considered in default and will be subject to denial or disconnection, or both. 4. If Reseller fails to comply with the provisions of this Agreement, including any payments to be made by it on the dates and times herein specified, the Company may, on thirty days written notice to the person designated by Reseller to receive notices of noncompliance, discontinue the provision of existing services to Reseller at any time thereafter. In the case of such discontinuance, all billed charges, as well as applicable termination charges, shall become due. If the Company does not discontinue the provision of the services involved on the date specified in the thirty days notice, and Reseller's noncompliance continues, nothing contained herein shall preclude the Company's right to discontinue the provision of the services to Reseller without further notice. 5. If payment is not received or arrangements made for payment by the date given in the written notification, Reseller's services will be discontinued. Upon discontinuance of service on a Reseller's account, service to Reseller's end users will be denied. The Company will also reestablish service at the request of the end user or Reseller upon payment of the appropriate connection fee and subject to the Company's normal application procedures. Reseller is solely responsible for notifying the end user of the proposed disconnection of the service. 6. If within fifteen days after an end user's service has been denied no contact has been made in reference to restoring service, the end user's service will be disconnected.

  • Notification of Absence A unit member shall contact the office of the division xxxx whenever there is a need to be absent and at least thirty (30) minutes prior to missing any work assignment. Should circumstances prohibit this notification, the unit member shall notify the division office in writing, within one week of returning to work, providing the reasons why advance notification was not given.

  • Other Leaves of Absence In the event that you are on a bona fide leave of absence, not otherwise described in this definition, from which you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, your Separation from Service has occurred on the first day on which your leave of absence period exceeds six months or, if earlier, upon your termination of employment (provided that such termination of employment constitutes a Separation from Service in accordance with the last sentence of the first paragraph of this definition).

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • STAFF ABSENCE a) When CONTRACTOR is an NPS and CONTRACTOR’s classroom teacher is absent, CONTRACTOR shall provide an appropriately credentialed substitute teacher in the absent teacher’s classroom in accordance with California Education Code section 56061. CONTRACTOR shall provide to LEA documentation of substitute coverage on LEA substitute teacher log. Substitute teachers shall remain with their assigned class during all instructional time. XXX shall not be responsible for payment for instruction and/or services when an appropriately credentialed substitute teacher is not provided. If a teacher is absent and a non-qualified substitute has been provided, CONTRACTOR will notify the LEA immediately. The LEA will determine how to address the denial of FAPE. b) When CONTRACTOR is a NPA and/or related services provider, and CONTRACTOR’s service provider is absent, CONTRACTOR shall provide a qualified (as defined in section eight (8) of this Master Contract and as determined by LEA) substitute, unless XXX provides appropriate coverage in lieu of CONTRACTOR’s service providers. XXX will not pay for services unless a qualified substitute is provided and/or CONTRACTOR provides a mutually agreed upon plan evidencing the provision of “make-up” services by a qualified service provider within thirty (30) calendar days from the date on which the services should have been provided. Provider shall notify XXX immediately of the development of the plan for any missed services that include: 5 or more consecutive days of specialized academic instruction (SAI) or more than 2 weeks of missed related services. CONTRACTOR shall not “bank” or “carry over” make-up service hours under any circumstances, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by CONTRACTOR and XXX.
