Leave for Jury Duty 5. Approved Bereavement leave;
Jury or Court Witness Duty The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an employee who is called as a juror or witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such an employee the difference between the normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals, or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received.
Witness or Jury Duty Employees called to serve on juries or to obey a subpoena shall receive their regular salaries during such periods, less the fees received for such service provided the employee returns to work if they are released from jury duty prior to 1:00 p.m. An employee serving on a jury will not be assigned to work on evenings or weekends during such jury service.
Injury on Duty Leave 35.5.1 An employee shall be granted injury-on-duty leave with pay for such reasonable period as may be determined by the Council where it is determined by a provincial Worker's Compensation Board that the employee is unable to perform his duties because of
Attending Court 20.1 An employee who loses time by being required, in a case in which the Company is involved, to attend court or coroner's inquest, or to appear as a witness, shall be paid for time lost. Jury Duty and Court Appearance 11.4.1 When summoned to serve on a jury; when subpoenaed as a witness in criminal proceedings, or as a witness in a civil action if not a party thereto; when appearing as a defendant in a criminal or traffic case if acquitted therefrom; the employee, to qualify for permission from the Xxxx/delegate to be absent with pay, shall produce the summons or subpoena or submit such other evidence showing the necessity for court appearance.
Jury Duty and Crown Witness (a) Employees subpoenaed as a crown witness or for jury duty shall be paid the difference between their normal daily wages and the amount they receive for such public duty for any day on which they are scheduled to work;
