Jury or Witness Duty. An employee who is not a party to the action and who is absent in compliance with a summons for jury duty or a subpoena requiring the employee to appear in court as a witness shall be excused with pay for the period during which the employee is absent on scheduled days because of such jury service or court appearance. When an employee is excused from jury or witness duty for part of a day or for an entire day, the employee shall report to his or her supervisor in person or by telephone for an assignment.

Any Regular Employee required by law for jury or witness duty shall be allowed time off without loss of regular earnings during such absence but any fee received as such juror or witness shall be paid to the Employer. An Employee acting as a voluntary witness shall not be paid for such absence.
Jury or Witness Duty. The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an employee selected to act as a juror or who is subpoenaed to act as a witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such an employee the difference between the employee’s normal earnings and the payment the employee receives for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received.

Jury or Witness Duty. Employees shall suffer no loss in wages while serving as subpoenaed witnesses or for jury duty during regular working hours. The Employer shall not deduct any payments that might be received for carrying out such duties. In the case of serving as a subpoenaed witness, the employee is expected to report for work if there are three or more hours remaining on his/her shift.

Jury or Witness Duty a) Wage Compensation Any regular full time employee who is required to report for Jury Selection, Jury Duty, Coroner’s Inquest or who is subpoenaed to serve as a witness in a court action, save and except actions involving the Company or Trade Unions, unless subpoenaed by the Crown, on a day when they would normally have worked, will be reimbursed by the Company for the difference between the pay received in such duty and their regular straight time hourly rate of pay for their regularly scheduled hours of work necessarily lost. It is understood that employees will be reimbursed by the Company for the difference between the pay received for such duty and their straight time rate of pay for their regularly scheduled hours of work in that week. The employee will be required to furnish proof of performing such service and such duty pay received.
Jury or Witness Duty. 23.25 An employee served with a jury notice or with a Subpoena to Witness shall forthwith notify her/his Manager.
