Common use of REPORTING ALLOWANCE Clause in Contracts

REPORTING ALLOWANCE. If an Employee reports for work on the Employee’s scheduled shift, without having been previously notified not to report, the Employee will be given at least seven (7) hours work at the Employee’s regular rate of pay, or if no work is available, the Employee will be paid the equivalent of seven (7) hours at his or her regular rate of pay in lieu of work. This provision shall not apply when there is a lack of work due to a situation beyond the control of the Employer.
