Common use of REPORTING ALLOWANCE Clause in Contracts

REPORTING ALLOWANCE. In the event that an employee reports for work on his/ her regular shift without having been previously notified not to report, he/she will be given at least four (4) hours work at his/ her appropriate rate of pay, or, if no work is available, he/she will be paid the equivalent of four (4) hours at his/her appropri- ate rate of pay in lieu of work. Where the Company’s inability to provide work is due to fire, flood, power failure, major mechanical breakdown or work stoppage, the foregoing shall not prevail.

Where his regular rate, provided, if requested by the Company’s inability , the employee shall perform such work to provide which he may be assigned, and further provided that this obligation on the part of the Company shall not apply if failure to supply work is due to fire, flood, power failure, major mechanical breakdown conditions beyond the control of the Company or if the employee is returning to work stoppage, following an absence without notifying the foregoing shall not prevailCompany in advance.

Where labour disputes or other conditions beyond the control of the Company’s inability to provide work is due to fire, flood, power failure, major mechanical breakdown or work stoppage, the foregoing shall not prevail.

REPORTING ALLOWANCE. 11.01 In the event that an employee Employee reports for work on his/ his/her regular shift shift, without having been previously notified not to report, he/she will be given at least four two (42) hours work at his/ his/her appropriate regular rate of pay, or, pay or if no work is available, available he/she will be paid the equivalent of four two (42) hours at his/her appropri- ate regular rate of pay in lieu of work. Where This provision shall not apply when there is a lack of work due to a situation beyond the control of the Company’s inability to provide work is due to fire, flood, power failure, major mechanical including unforeseen equipment breakdown or work stoppage, the foregoing shall not prevailraw material shortage.

This provision shall not apply when there is a lack of pay in lieu work due to any labour dispute, fire, flood or other cause beyond the control of work. Where the Company’s inability to provide work is due to fire, flood, power failure, major mechanical breakdown or work stoppage, the foregoing shall not prevail.

The parties agree that a major breakdown shall mean a breakdown causing the inability to operate a whole production 15.02 If required by the Employer, employees may be asked to perform work stoppage, during the foregoing shall not prevailsaid four (4) hours in any part of the operation at their regular rate of pay.
