REST BREAKS OR MEAL BREAKS. An employee is entitled to an unpaid rest or meal break of 30 minutes after 5 hours of work which is to be taken at a time convenient to the business and the service to customers.

REST BREAKS OR MEAL BREAKS. An employee is entitled to an unpaid rest or meal break of 30 minutes after 5 hours of work which is to be taken at a time convenient to the business and the service to customers. In addition employee’s are welcome to partake in the complimentary staff meal at the start of any evening shift. Shifts during the day, a light lunch or snack will be provided on request from the employee. Consumption of non alcoholic beverages and bottled water during the shift is also allowed. After very busy and hectic shifts a single alcoholic beverage ‘on the house’ may be consumed by eligible employee’s. This is strictly at the discretion of management.

  • Rest Breaks Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break during each four (4) hours worked. It is the Employer's intention to provide uninterrupted rest breaks.

  • Missed Meal Breaks (a) (applicable to full-time employees only) If an employee is authorized to work, during the lunch break, due to the requirements of patient care, he will be paid time and one-half (1½) his regular straight time hourly rate for all time worked in excess of his normal daily hours.

  • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.

  • Breaks 16.1 Two separate ten-minute tea breaks (in addition to meal breaks) shall be allowed each employee on duty during each ordinary shift of 7.6 hours or more; where less than 7.6 ordinary hours are worked employees shall be allowed one 10-minute tea break in each four-hour period. Subject to agreement between the employer and the employee, the two ten-minute tea breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20-minute tea break, or by one ten-minute tea break with the employee allowed to proceed off duty ten minutes before the completion of the normal shift finishing time. Such tea break(s) shall count as working time.

  • Unpaid Meal Breaks All employees working shifts of five (5) to eight (8) hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th) hour of work. Such meal breaks shall not be less than one-half hour (1/2) nor more than one (1) hour on the employees own time.

  • Coffee Breaks The Company will provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks during each work day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
