Salary Increase Upon Promotion. The phrase "at least five percent (5%)" in Section 2.44.210 of the Municipal Code is clarified to include the rounding (i.e., 4.5% or higher) to the nearest whole percent, within the established salary plan.

Salary Increase Upon Promotion. A. A promotion is defined as movement of an employee from a job classification to another job classification with a higher salary range. (Acting appointments are not considered promotions.)
Salary Increase Upon Promotion. An employee temporarily promoted to an acting rank pursuant to Article 10 shall receive an increase of ten percent (10%) during the period of the temporary promotion.
