Schedule Changes due to Illness or Personal Emergency. Once a schedule is posted, it will not be changed except by mutual consent. To handle a specific staffing need created by illness or personal emergency, the Employer will take the following steps: a) Contact regular part-time and part-time non-benefited nurses except for those nurses who have formally indicated they will not be available. b) If regular part-time and part-time non-benefited nurses are not available, efforts will be made to reassign staff scheduled on a given day. c) If, despite these efforts, it is necessary to reschedule, then such rescheduling may be made without mutual consent. Such assignments will be made in an equitable fashion. Weekly work schedules shall be posted fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. Travel assignments will be equitably distributed among nurses. Once the 14 day schedule is posted, if changes are necessary the Employer shall provide the nurse prior actual notice of such changes as soon as possible, and the employee(s) will not be held responsible if not notified by the Employer.* For nurses in the Portland District, if the original assignment is not available (drive moved, cancelled and/or changed) a comparable shift** shall be assigned if one is available; non- Portland District nurses will be moved to the next alternate shift. In the rare circumstance when, as result of a drive being moved, cancelled, changed, a nurse is not needed by Staff Scheduling, that nurse will have the option to utilize vacation time or take LWOP. If an operation is added to the schedule or an unanticipated backfill is necessary, staffing of an operation will be done by mutual consent. If the Employer is not able to staff an operation by mutual consent, nurses will be required to work in reverse seniority order, to ensure the operation is adequately staffed. Qualified staff may be used to cover unscheduled absences when nurses are not available. In the Portland District only, this action will not take place until reasonable efforts to schedule “Go to T eam” staff have been utilized. * Staff members are responsible for providing current contact information to the Scheduling Department. If current contact numbers are not provided the Employer will not be held responsible. ** Comparable shift is defined (Portland District Only) as a shift on which scheduled hours are not more than a two (2) hour variation than the original scheduled shift (which includes travel time). a) A nurse may request switching his/her shift with another staff member ...

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis.   • CHANGES IN EMERGENCY AND SERVICE CONTACT PERSONS In the event that the name or telephone number of any emergency or service contact for the Competitive Supplier changes, Competitive Supplier shall give prompt notice to the Town in the manner set forth in Article 18.3.   • Emergency/Declared Disaster Requirements In the event of an emergency or if Orange County is declared a disaster area by the County, state or federal government, this Contract may be subjected to unusual usage. The Contractor shall service the County during such an emergency or declared disaster under the same terms and conditions that apply during non-emergency/disaster conditions. The pricing quoted by the Contractor shall apply to serving the County’s needs regardless of the circumstances. If the Contractor is unable to supply the goods/services under the terms of the Contract, then the Contractor shall provide proof of such disruption and a copy of the invoice for the goods/services from the Contractor’s supplier(s). Additional profit margin as a result of supplying goods/services during an emergency or a declared disaster shall not be permitted. In the event of an emergency or declared disaster, emergency purchase order numbers will be assigned. All applicable invoices from the Contractor shall show both the emergency purchase order number and the Contract number.

  • WAIVER IN CASE OF EMERGENCY In cases of emergency declared by the President of the United States, the Governor of the state of Ohio, the Xxxxxxxxxx County Sheriff, the City Manager of Xxxxx Heights, or any other authorized governmental official, for acts of God or civil disorder, the following conditions of this Agreement may be temporarily suspended by the Employer A.   • Contingent Emergency Response 1.   • Completion of Concrete Pours and Emergency Work (a) Except as provided in this sub-clause an Employee shall nor work or be required to work in the rain. (b) Employees shall not be required to start a concrete pour in Inclement Weather. (c) Where a concrete pour has been commenced prior to the commencement of a period of Inclement Weather Employees may be required to complete such concrete pour to a practical stage and for such work shall be paid at the rate of double time calculated to the next hour, and in the case of wet weather shall be provided with adequate wet weather gear. (d) If an Employee’s clothes become wet as a result of working in the rain during a concrete pour the Employee shall, unless the Employee has a change of dry working clothes available, be allowed to go home without loss of pay. (e) The provisions of clauses 32.7(c) and 32.7(d) hereof shall also apply in the case of emergency work where the Employees concerned and their delegates agree that the work is of an emergency nature and can start and/or proceed.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. An educator will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the educator which would significantly impair teaching service. Personal emergency leave may not be used for illness or injury, or illness or injury in the immediate family. Deductions from the gross pay of an educator for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken. 2. An educator may be granted up to five (5) days leave without pay for business or personal reasons having unusual circumstances.

  • Unforeseeable Emergency In the event of a Participant’s Unforeseeable Emergency, such Participant may request an emergency withdrawal from his or her Account. Any such request shall be subject to the approval of the Administrator, which approval shall not be granted to the extent that such need may be relieved (i) through reimbursement or compensation by insurance or otherwise or (ii) by liquidation of the Participant’s assets (to the extent the liquidation of such assets would not itself cause severe financial hardship). A Participant may withdraw all or a portion of his or her Account due to an Unforeseeable Emergency; provided, however, that the withdrawal shall not exceed the amount reasonably needed to satisfy the need created by the Unforeseeable Emergency.

  • ABSENCE FROM WORK In case an employee is unavoidably kept from work he will not be discriminated against. An employee detained from work on account of sickness or for any other good cause must, if possible, advise the Xxxxxxx prior to the commencement of his/her shift.
