Scheduling of Bid Vacations a. A selection list for vacation during the 12 months beginning April 1 will be posted in February. All employees desiring to take vacation leave will bid their selections at that time. The number of employees who may be absent each week for bid vacations shall be determined by the Employer. Bid vacation weeks are protected weeks and will not be overridden by any other request for time off, regardless of seniority ranking. The order of sign-up shall be by seniority, first full-time then part-time. Employees on a leave of absence of thirty (30) days or more at the time of the vacation sign-up shall not be allowed to bid. Employees absent due to an on-the-job injury will be allowed to bid during the vacation sign-up.

  • Scheduling of Vacations Vacations shall be scheduled at a time mutually acceptable to the OSFM and the employee and consistent with the work requirements of the OSFM. All vacation leaves require advanced written authorization by the employee's immediate supervisor; however, management may verbally approve short notice requests, subject to submission of written leave request form upon return.

  • Scheduling Vacations Vacations are to be scheduled in advance and taken at such reasonable times as approved by the employee's department with particular regard to the needs of the Employer, seniority of employee, and, insofar as practicable, with regard to the wishes of the employee. Vacation requests received after March 1 will be confirmed or denied, in writing, within two (2) weeks of receipt of same. If an employee is given in-patient treatment in a hospital during one (1) or more full days of the employee's vacation, those days may, at the request of the employee, be rescheduled during the vacation year, at a time convenient to the College.
