Seniority Ranking Clause Samples
The Seniority Ranking clause establishes the order of priority among different classes of creditors or claims in the event of a liquidation, bankruptcy, or other distribution of assets. It specifies which debts or obligations are to be paid first, such as distinguishing between secured and unsecured creditors, or ranking different series of bonds. This clause ensures clarity and predictability regarding the distribution of proceeds, thereby reducing disputes and managing risk among stakeholders.
Seniority Ranking. For purposes of this Article (specifically section 3) employee seniority shall be calculated according to their date of hire with the Portland Air National Guard Fire Department.
Seniority Ranking. 15.3.1 The District shall compile and maintain the listing of seniority dates of employees in accordance with the provisions of this article.
Seniority Ranking. Each teacher in the district shall receive a seniority number which shall indicate the beginning of their seniority. The number shall be based on the date and time of the return of the first contract during a period of continuous employment. The seniority number is not related to the employee number.
Seniority Ranking. For purposes of this Article (specifically Section 3) employee seniority shall be calculated according to their date of hire with the Klamath Falls Airport/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Field Fire Department. The score in the selection process as defined in Article 22 Section 2 will be used to establish seniority for employees with the same date of hire.
Seniority Ranking. Whenever two (2) or more persons have the same seniority ranking, the tie shall be broken by first considering time spent in a temporary or substitute capacity and, if equal, by casting of lots in the presence of chapter leadership.
Seniority Ranking. Seniority is the ranking of Employees in accordance with their most recent date of hire and is applied to the Employee’s classification by work location, unless otherwise specified in this Agreement. An Employees seniority is not reset by a change in classification.
Seniority Ranking. A. The Seniority of each employee is their relative position with respect to other employees based on the length of their service on a job within the Bargaining Unit.
B. In the event two (2) or more employees are hired into this Bargaining Unit on the same day, the following procedure is used to determine the Seniority Ranking: Human Resources shall conduct a drawing to determine which employee shall be first on the Seniority List, based on the ranked order of the below list: An employee who has accrued Bargaining Unit Seniority within the Protective Force Department during a previous employment, and is Recalled under Section 5, shall be listed ahead of new employees on the Seniority List based on their previously accrued Seniority. A previous employee in the Bargaining Unit within the Protective Force Department who is reemployed on the same date a new employee is hired into the Bargaining Unit shall be listed ahead of the new employee on the Seniority List. These previous employees shall also receive net service from last date of hire in the Bargaining Unit to date of termination to determine Vacation eligibility and Hours of Accrual, and entitlement to Group Insurance coverage effective immediately on the date they are reemployed and placed on the Payroll. A Plant employee transferring to the Bargaining Unit on the same date a new employee is hired into the Bargaining Unit shall be listed ahead of the new employee on the Seniority List. A Plant Contractor employee with a Q clearance transferring to the Bargaining Unit on the same date a new employee is hired into the Bargaining Unit shall be listed ahead of the new employee on the Seniority List.
Seniority Ranking. For purposes of this Article, the term “seniority ranking” will mean the relative placement as either a qualified full-time or a qualified part-time teacher on the appropriate seniority list. The seniority date earliest in time will have the greater seniority ranking, all within the subject matter or field of a qualified part-time teacher or qualified full-time teacher.
Seniority Ranking. Each Educator in the District shall receive a date of hire, indicating the beginning of his/her seniority. The ranking shall be based on the date and time of the returned contract.
Seniority Ranking.
(a) Where rank and time in rank/grade, and departmental tenure from date of appointment as a Police Officer are equal, a member's police academy class ranking will be used to determine seniority ranking.
(b) An employee who is demoted or reverted shall have a "time in grade" date, as it pertains to seniority in Article 13 Subsection ▇▇.▇▇ of this Memorandum of Understanding, to be the date and time of his/her original promotion to the lower rank.
