Different studies have shown the importance of the principals’ role for school quality and development1. The principal’s role has been strengthening in the Education Act which came into force in 2011 and the principal is mentioned 111 times in different paragraphs. The principals’ responsibility for studentsright to education, students’ possibilities to reach social and civic skills and the academic knowledge requirements is highlighted. As well as the principal’s responsibility to help and arrange support for students with special needs. It is of course essential components when we are talking about equity and learning – and improved student outcomes. It is stipulated that the pedagogical work within one school unit should be lead and coordinated by one principal. It is partially possible to distribute the leadership with other people in the staff who have sufficient competence and experience to fulfil tasks that the principal want to distribute for improving the learning environment. The Education Act also states that all newly appointed principals shall take part of the compulsory Swedish National School Leadership Training Program which is given by six universities on master level. School organizers are responsible for sending the principals to the program. The national program should guarantee that all principals in our country have enough knowledge and proficiency within some important fields: legislation on schools and the role of exercising the functions of an authority, management by goals and objectives and school leadership. The emphasizing of social and civic skills and academic knowledge together with equity and learning for better outcomes, in the Education Act and curricula, makes it very important that a principal can relate to and claim the national goals, improve education and support teachers in their teaching so they can give all students the best possible conditions to learn and reach the knowledge requirements.   • How Non-network Providers Are Paid If you receive care from a non-network provider, you are responsible for paying all charges for the services you received. You may submit a claim for reimbursement of the payments you made. For the limited circumstances listed below, your copayment and deductible will apply at the network level of benefits: • emergency care (emergency room, urgent care and ambulance services); • we specifically approve the use of a non-network provider for covered healthcare services, see Network Authorization in Section 5 for details; • covered healthcare services are rendered by a non-network provider at a network facility outside of your control; • otherwise, as required by law. For those circumstances where we cover services from a non-network provider, we reimburse you or the non-network provider, less any copayments and deductibles, up to the lesser of: • our allowance; • the non-network provider’s charge; or • the benefit limit. You are responsible for the deductible, if one applies, and the copayment, as well as any amount over the benefit limit that applies to the service you received. You are liable for the difference between the amount that the non-network provider bills and the payment we make for covered healthcare services. Generally, we send reimbursement to you, but we reserve the right to reimburse a non-network provider directly. We reimburse non-network provider services using the same guidelines we use to pay network providers. Generally, our payment for non-network provider services will not be more than the amount we pay for network provider services. If an allowance for a specific covered healthcare service cannot be determined by reference to a fee schedule, reimbursement will be based upon a calculation that reasonably represents the amount paid to network providers. For emergency services, we reimburse non- network providers, in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws § 27-18-76, the greater of our allowance, our usual guidelines for paying non-network providers, or the amount that would be paid under Medicare, less any copayments or deductibles. Payments we make to you are personal. You cannot transfer or assign any of your right to receive payments under this agreement to another person or organization, unless the R.I. General Law §27-20-49 (Dental Insurance assignment of benefits) applies. For information about network authorization requests to seek covered healthcare services from a non-network provider when the covered healthcare service cannot be provided by a network provider, please see Network Authorization in Section 5.

  • Traveling Teachers 1. Each traveling teacher shall be given a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes to travel from one building to another. The fifteen (15) minutes shall come from the total student contact time of the traveling teacher.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.

  • Schools The Applicant, its successors and assigns, will comply with applicable provisions of Section 163.3180(6), Florida Statutes, in providing any required school proportionate share mitigation and will pay any applicable school impact fees for the Development in the timing and manner required by law.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

For reasons of safety and public policy, in any Contract resulting from this procurement, the use of illegal drugs and/or alcoholic beverages by the Contractor or its agents, employees, partners or Subcontractors shall not be permitted while performing any phase of the work herein specified.
