Section 22.1 paraeducators shall present evidence of skills and knowledge necessary to meet the needs of 15 students and shall be supervised consistent with guidance outlined by the Professional Educators 16 Standards Board (PESB). According to PESB, Paraeducators must meet one of the four minimum 17 employment requirements: Successful completion of the Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program; 18 receive a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment (Praxis); 19 hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; have earned 72 quarter 20 credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.

Section 22.1. 23 Employees shall be compensated in accordance with the provisions of this agreement for all hours
Section 22.1. 38 The Employer shall provide a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with law and standards 39 relating to the occupational safety and health of its employees. It is the employee’s responsibility to 40 follow all established procedures and standards. The Employer will notify and train employees in 41 accordance with current legal standards.
Section 22.1. 16 The District shall deduct PSE/SEIU LOCAL 1948 dues or service charges from the pay of any 17 employee who authorizes such deductions in writing pursuant to RCW 41.56.110. The District shall 18 transmit all such funds deducted to the treasurer of Public School Employees of Washington/SEIU 19 Local 1948 on a monthly basis.
Section 22.1. 13 All paraeducators shall present evidence of skills and knowledge necessary to meet the needs of 14 students with disabilities and shall be supervised consistent with WAC 392-172A-02090 (1) (f).
Section 22.1. 17 Each employee subject to this Agreement, who, on the effective date of this Agreement, is a member 18 of the Association in good standing shall, as a condition of employment, maintain membership in the 19 Association in good standing during the period of this Agreement.
Section 22.1. 14 The term of this agreement shall be September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2017. 16 Section 22.2. 17 This agreement may be reopened and modified at any time during its term upon the mutual consent of 18 the parties; provided, however, that salaries will be renegotiated for the 2015-2016 and 2016-17 school 20 agreement which affects the terms and conditions herein. 24 A R T I C L E X X I I I 25
