Section 7.6.6. 5 All extra school sponsored, supervised trips, or activity runs out the District in school buses, 6 shall be coordinated through the transportation department and provided further that all such 7 trips shall be posted and bid out according to this agreement on a rotation basis. Exception: in 8 the event nine (9) students or less are transported in a District, other that bargaining unit drivers 9 may be used; provided however, that such transportation shall be limited to one (1) vehicle per 10 team. Exceptions would be made for all ASB/Self-funded clubs such as FCCLA, Life Skills, 11 and Cheer. Sports teams such as basketball, wrestling, baseball, track, and soccer may use two 12 (2) vans when traveling to state tournaments or a distance of 150 miles or more one way. If for 13 any reason the transportation supervisor this unfeasible, the supervisor shall notify the Union 14 representative to work toward a mutually acceptable resolution.
Section 7.6.6. 9 All newly hired bus drivers must have a State of Washington Bus Driver’s License with 10 passenger endorsement before transporting children.
Section 7.6.6. 26 Employees hired as a “regular driver”, assigned to any combination of regular and extra trips for a 27 minimum of twenty (20) hours per month, pursuant to Article VII, Section 7.6.1, shall be 28 considered as having “began employment” for the purpose of establishing a “hire date” consistent 29 with Section 10.1 herein, as of the date of the first regular and/or extra trip assigned. 32 In the event of an unusual school closure due to inclement weather, plant inoperation, or the like, the 33 District will make every effort to notify each employee to refrain from coming to work. Employees 34 reporting to work shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at base rate in the event of such a closure; 35 provided, however, no employee shall be entitled to any such compensation in the event he has actually 36 been notified by the District of the closure prior to leaving home for work.
Section 7.6.6. 16 Only state certified employees, classified as bus drivers, employed regularly by the District, 17 meeting all state requirements for a school bus driver, shall be used to drive District school 18 buses unless no such employee is available.

  • Section 7.4 43 In the event an employee is assigned to a shift less than the normal work shift previously 44 defined in this Article, the employee shall be given a fifteen (15) minute rest period for each 45 consecutive/continuous four (4) hours of work. Employees assigned six (6) or more hours shall 46 be given two (2) 15-minute rest periods and an unpaid lunch period.

  • Section 7.3 42 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite shift with designated times of beginning and ending.

  • Section 7.2 25 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite and regular shift and workweek, which shall not be 26 changed without prior notice to the employee of two (2) calendar weeks, except in emergencies.

In the event the District requires an employee to forego 18 a lunch period and the employee works the entire shift, including the lunch period, the employee shall 19 be compensated for the foregone lunch period at one and one-half (1½) the regular rate.

  • Section 6.3 7 Visitation rights shall be granted to the designated representative of the Public School Employees of 8 Washington to visit with employees in the appropriate bargaining units for purposes of grievance 9 procedures and/or general information data. The visiting delegate shall notify the School District of 10 his/her arrival. The visitation rights shall not interfere with the employees normal work routine.

  • Section 6.2 13 The Association representatives may represent the Association and employees in meeting with officials 14 of the District to discuss appropriate matters of mutual interest. They may receive and investigate to 15 conclusion complaints or grievances of employees on District time and thereafter advise employees of 16 rights and procedures outlined in this Agreement and applicable regulations or directives for resolving 17 the grievances or complaints. They may not, however, continue to advise the employee on courses of 18 action after the employee has indicated a desire not to pursue a grievance. This does not, however, 19 preclude the Association's right to pursue the matter to conclusion. They may consult with the District 20 on complaints without a grievance being made by an individual employee.

  • Section 5.3 40 It is further recognized that this Agreement does not alter the responsibility of either party to meet with 41 the other party to advise, discuss or consult regarding matters concerning working conditions not 42 covered by this Agreement. 43

  • Section 4.5 37 The President of the Association and designated representatives will be provided time off without loss of 38 pay to a maximum of three (3) days per year to attend regional or State meetings when the purpose of 39 those meetings is in the best interests of the District as determined by the District administration.

  • Section 4.3 11 The Association reserves and retains the right to delegate any right or duty contained herein to appropriate 12 officials of the Public School Employees of Washington State Organization.
