Section B. Release of Union Representatives. No Xxxxxxx, Chief Xxxxxxx or Chapter President shall leave work to engage in employee representation activities without first notifying and receiving authorization from his/her supervisor or designee. Such approval shall normally be granted and under no circumstances shall it be unreasonably denied. In the event that approval is not granted for the time requested by such designated representative and the representation activity is within his/her jurisdictional area, the Union, at its discretion, may either request that a different Union Representative be released for such purpose or that the matter be postponed and rescheduled. Such a request shall normally be granted and under no circumstances shall it be unreasonably denied. In making such request, the Union will provide timely representation so that the activity would not be unreasonably delayed. The designated Representative shall not contact or interrupt the employee while at work without first notifying and receiving authorization from the employee's supervisor. (1) The designated Xxxxxxx at the Center at which the conference is being conducted cannot be released for operational reasons; and (2) such Center is within the Chief Xxxxxxx'x jurisdictional area. The Employer shall not be obligated to release a Xxxxxxx, Chief Xxxxxxx or Chapter President for any grievance or disciplinary conference if the employee is being represented in such grievance or disciplinary conference by a Union Staff Representative. At its discretion, and on a case by case basis, the Union may designate an MCO Executive Council member to act in lieu of the Chief Xxxxxxx. In such circumstances, the MCO Executive Council member shall be entitled to enjoy the same rights and privileges as provided herein for the Chief Xxxxxxx, if the MCO Executive Council member is employed in this Bargaining Unit. At its discretion, the Union may also designate the Executive Council Member as the regular Chief Xxxxxxx. Any pay provided by the employer for release from work authorized in accordance with this article shall be governed by Civil Service Rules and Regulations.

  • List of Union Representatives The Union agrees to provide and maintain an up-to-date list of all Union Representatives (including Union Stewards, Union Executive, Grievance Committee, Labour/Management Committee and Negotiating Committee) to the Director of Human Resources or designate.

  • Notice of Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Company when any representative of the Union intends to visit the worksite for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits will not disrupt employees working without the supervisor/manager’s permission.

The Union agrees that such visits will 14 cause no disruptions or interruptions of work.

  • Union Representatives Upon mutual agreement of the parties, the number may be altered from time to time. Where a Union Representative commences on an extended leave of absence, the Union will endeavour to find a temporary replacement for the Union Representative from within the Home.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.

  • UNION REPRESENTATIVE'S VISITS 30.01 Duly authorized full-time representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit the Co-operative for the purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and unsigned employees and to ensure that the terms of the Collective Agreement are being implemented. 30.02 The interview of an employee by a Union Representative shall be permitted, after notifying the General Manager or their designated representative, and shall be: (a) carried on in a place within the Co-operative's premises designated by management; (b) held whenever possible during the lunch period; however, if this is not practical; (c) held during the regular working hours; time taken for such interview in excess of five (5) minutes shall not be on Co-operative time unless with the approval of management; (d) held at such times as will not interfere with service to the public.

  • Construction Representatives Landlord hereby appoints the following person(s) as Landlord's representative ("Landlord's Representative") to act for Landlord in all matters covered by this Tenant Improvement Agreement: Xxx Xxxxxxxxxx. Tenant hereby appoints the following person(s) as Tenant's representative ("Tenant's Representative") to act for Tenant in all matters covered by this Tenant Improvement Agreement: Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx. All communications with respect to the matters covered by this Tenant Improvement Agreement are to made to Landlord's Representative or Tenant's Representative, as the case may be, in writing in compliance with the notice provisions of the Lease. Either party may change its representative under this Tenant Improvement Agreement at any time by written notice to the other party in compliance with the notice provisions of the Lease.

  • Designation of Representatives 9.2.1 TxDOT and DB Contractor shall each designate Authorized Representative(s) who shall be authorized to make decisions and bind the Parties on matters relating to the Contract Documents. Exhibit 19 hereto provides the initial Authorized Representative designations. Such designations may be changed by a subsequent writing delivered to the other Party in accordance with Section 9.1. 9.2.2 The Parties may also designate technical representatives who shall be authorized to investigate and report on matters relating to the administration, design and construction of the Project and negotiate on behalf of each of the Parties, but who do not have authority to bind TxDOT or DB Contractor.

  • UNION REPRESENTATION 5.01 The Local Union may appoint or otherwise select a bargaining committee which shall be composed of not more than seven (7) employees one of whom will be designated as an alternate, and one of whom shall be employed in maintenance. Such committee, together with representatives of the Union shall represent the Union in all negotiations with representatives of the Board for a renewal of this Agreement. The local union shall notify the Board in writing of the names of its bargaining committee members prior to the start of negotiations. 5.02 The Local Union may also appoint or otherwise select up to seven (7) stewards one of whom will be selected as the Chief Xxxxxxx. One of such stewards shall be designated to represent the employees engaged in caretaking in each Field Service Area of the Board, and one of such stewards shall be designated to represent those engaged in maintenance, courier, and warehousing services. In the absence of the designated stewards one of the other stewards may act in their place. The Local Union's Chief Xxxxxxx shall co-ordinate the activities of such stewards. 5.03 A xxxxxxx'x function shall be to assist an employee in the preparation and presentation of grievances to the employee's supervisor and in the event of any violation of Article 4 by any employees to instruct them to return to work and perform their usual duties. A xxxxxxx, with the prior permission of the xxxxxxx'x immediate supervisor, shall be reasonably allowed such time off as is necessary for the prompt investigation and settlement of grievances. The Board will compensate stewards and Union officers for any portion of their regularly scheduled work time spent with the permission of the Board in servicing grievances. The Board may revoke this compensation if it reasonably believes that the time off for servicing grievances is being abused. 5.04 Members of the bargaining committee shall suffer no loss in pay for any portion of their regularly scheduled work time spent in attending negotiations with the Board. 5.05 The Local Union shall notify the Board in writing of the names of its officers, Chief Xxxxxxx and stewards. 5.06 The President of the Local union shall be supplied a copy of Board Corporate Services and Human Resources Committee meeting agendas and Regular Board meeting agendas, 48 hours prior to the meeting/s.
